Prerequisites to Ultrasound Certification: Can I Get Credentialed?
Three credentialing organizations offer similar but different different
pathways to your individual credentialing in a specific field of
practice:
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
The ARDMS offers credentialing exams in every area of sonographer practice, including the voluntary Registered Physician Vascular Interpretation. CCI offers exams in the field of echocardiography and vascular sonography, as well as non-ultrasound credentialing.
