Residency Training

The vast complexity of the technical and hands-on attributes of medical ultrasound poses a formidable challenge to the Director of the Medical Residency program: How to maximize the efficacy of clinical training within the time available? We began refining the answer over twenty years ago.

It's all much more than just learning now to operate system controls or point a probe. The clinician has to be able to literally see with the eye of the ultrasound transducer: to identify structures, distinguish artifact from true anatomy, scan objects three-dimensionally, and differentiate pathology without any of the usual cues.  Such skills cannot be learned by limited practice and the long-term effects of faulty preparation will remain with your graduates for life. Our hands-on courses in each topical area are intensely focused on developing relevant technical skills as well as the mental algorithmic mindset necessary to utilize them.

The use of ultrasound in practice is more than buying a machine and taking pictures. To get reimbursement for the study the physician as well as the technologist will have to demonstrate specific competency before a Credentialing or Registry agency.

In addition to on-site training, our customized programs allow your residents to obtain the identical fast-track training at different points in time at substantially reduced tuition. Our courses are repeated throughout each year by identical faculty with identical objectives, and classes are small enough to permit individualized attention for students at all levels.

Let us give you some more ideas that can help you create the ideal physician training experience for this new generation: contact our president Ms. Tara Campbell by e-mail or phone (972) 353-3200. If our former student testimonials will not convince you, our professional references will.
