Urology Ultrasound Career Training Plan
 
We offer a systematic program of training that will ground you and your staff with the skills necessary to master fully all aspects of urologic sonography. Every course is structured to meet and exceed the guidelines for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and facility guidelines set forth by the American Colleges of Radiology and Urology, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

The courses are listed in the recommended order of completion:

For Beginners or the Self-Taught:

Initially
Step 1:  Foundations of Hands-On Ultrasound for Beginners
Step 2:  Hands-On Urology Imaging

1 Year
Step 3:  Ultrasound Physics and Physiologic Principles for Abdominal Sonography
Step 4:  Registry Review for Abdominal Sonography

Elective
Step 5: Abdominal Imaging Curriculum

For Technologists Experienced in Other Areas of Ultrasound:

Initially
Step 1:  Hands-On Urology Imaging

1 Year
Step 2:  Ultrasound Physics and Physiologic Principles for Abdominal Sonography
Step 3:  Registry Review for Abdominal Sonography

Elective
Step 4: Abdominal Imaging Curriculum


For Physicians:
