"Keith, you are one of the most entertaining and educational teachers I have ever had. I’m sure I’ll be back for other courses. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me."
Lois Cunningham, Waterloo, Iowa

Remember, your successful completion of the ARDMS or CCI National Registry Examination requires a passing score on two different tests: Ultrasound Physics & Clinical Physiologic Principles, and the Technical Exam in your desired specialty. Our course offerings are broken into three separate areas to permit you greater flexibility to prepare: Physics, Physiologic Principles, and Registry Review. Be sure to visit each section separately.

Guarantee: We're quite confident of the results this learning experience will bring you. That's why we guarantee it:  If within one year after attending this seminar you attempt the registry exam (in the area for which you attended with us) and fail it, you can apply your full tuition payment once to any seminar or StudioSeminar® Video Instruction product offered by us, for the next twelve months.

Here are the rules:
-Your credit must be used in the twelve months following the failed exam.
-Your credit is nontransferable and nonrefundable and is subject to our standard Registration and Cancellation Policy.
-All we require is a copy of your letter of verification of your attempt and failure within the allowed time.

Registry Preparation: Ultrasound Physics

There are many fine courses available to help you prepare for the National Registry Exams. This one is going to give you more: a style of clinical and technical thinking that will last you a lifetime, not just help you pass a single test once in your life. We think you'd agree that this approach has a lifelong benefit that you'll be able to spend again and again.

If you've ever felt the anxiety of being in a room with hundreds of others trying to learn the same thing on the instructor's schedule, relax. These are small, interactive classes with cheerful answers to your every question; a refined strategy of teaching that goes far beyond the idea of revealing what questions you're likely to find on the ever-changing Exam matrix. And when it's all over, there's free post-conference technical support, whenever you need it… on our 800 numbers, for free, forever. No passwords, no ID codes, no time limit. Just your clinical peers helping you grow into what you can become.

Think about it: Ours is a commitment to you that no one else has ever attempted to match.

These courses will be held once only in 2005 during the month of July in Dallas. Click here for daily events over the nine day period. Keith Mauney will be your personal host and instructor. He’ll make use of slide-supported lectures along with self-graded tests to stimulate your thinking. You’ll take our comprehensive course materials home with you, and optional videotape materials will be available for purchase at substantial discounts.

Come and join us. We’ll turn the entire resources of our decades-old institution on you and your mission, to better understand, remember and use forever, physics and clinical scientific principles at the bedside.

Registry Preparation: Statistics

One of the principal duties of the certified sonographer in any specialty area is to be able to compute statistical measures of quality control. This takes the form of determining from a dataset the values of sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values, and overall accuracy. Though computer programs can handle the math automatically (at substantial cost), YOU will have to be able to work out such measures in your head on any of the national certification exams.

This half-day course will change forever the way you think about such things. Let Keith Mauney strip away the mystery and boredom by imparting a simple and memorable way to perform these calculations—and in the process actually understand their real meaning.  No matter where you’ve been, you’ll have never seen statistics presented in such an unusually effective way.
