Hands-On Peripheral Vascular Imaging
Hands-On Carotid and Vertebral Duplex Ultrasound
Interpretation and Reporting of Abdominal, Peripheral and Cerebrovascular Ultrasound Testing
I've been to commercially sponsored courses and I've been to others, too, but none of them taught me as much as I've learned here. And you did it without making us feel stupid. Thank you.

Most of our Guests have had some informal exposure to ultrasound before they come to class; many have not. We created this course to close this gap from uncertainty to confidence, for any area you’ll come to work in.
Exactly what its name implies, this course is best short-term preparation possible. Even if you are already experienced, the classroom instruction alone will demystify virtually all of the academic concepts of ultra-sound physics and instrument controls. We will focus on the common, universal applications of ultrasound technology, using different organ systems as test models. Accordingly, we do not target your experience to a single organ system. We’ll also make use of several different manufactured systems to help you gain confidence in the common operation of any machine you will come to work with.
The difference between mediocrity and expert is in any career field usually only about 2%. Complete this course and you’ll come away with knowledge and skills that will boost you far above the rest in your field.
Class runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on the first day and 8:30 - noon on day two. One half of your time will be spent in classroom lectures and one half in instructor-guided, small group hands-on sessions.
Our Hands-On Scan Lab is open 24 hours during the scheduled course for your own independent practice by yourself or with your class peers. Post conference technical support and personal answers to your questions are free, forever.
Our clinical hands-on instructors personally guide each Guest through specific exercises to accomplish maximum skills development. Our hands-on approach is focused on optimizing your performance for any specialized exam. In-depth techniques for specialized applications are covered in our dedicated hands-on courses, conducted separately.

Many meetings today offer training in vascular ultrasound, but not one of them share our depth of experience in teaching it effectively.
As early as 1983 we engineered our course objectives to exceed the performance criteria for the RVT or RVS credential.... We’ve been expanding its content ever since.
We’re going to focus on helping you develop the hands-on
skills and clinical mindset , and complete protocol for duplex ultrasound evaluation of abdominal aortic aneurysm, renal, and peripheral arterial and venous disease. Three days is just a start in the course of your career, of course, but it’s the most solid foundation and jump start you’ll ever find. This is about more than just the what; it’s also about the why behind everything you’ll ever do. And this will make the difference for you when it comes time someday for your vascular Certification Exam.
Our expert faculty will patiently guide and support you throughout the course as we focus in each area on a single goal: the complete and unabridged workup of the authentic patient.
We'll tailor our delivery to your individual needs as we work together in small group sessions. In lively, interactive classroom lectures we'll build together the careful mindset necessary to think through principles of both anatomy and physiology as vascular disease of any type develops. We’ll begin with the normal clinical state and explore systematically arterial and venous disease pathologies in the legs and arms.
Class runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm over three days. Half of your time will be spent in lively and engaging lecture, and half in small group hands-on sessions. Here you’ll quickly learn by doing, observing, and discussing the practical elements of the complete protocols for AAA, renal, and lower extremity vascular applications. You’re not only going to learn the complete protocols, how to summarize your findings (and discuss them) and also the all-important why behind it all. Your tuition includes comprehensive course materials for lifelong reference, complimentary breakfast daily, and a light lunch daily. While the course is in session, our Hands-On Scan Lab is open around the clock for your own independent practice, alone or with your peers. Post conference technical support and personal answers to your questions is provided free, forever.
Eight to ten Guests usually comprise the class. Your peers will likely include a range from allied health professionals to physicians, all with limited or no formal hands-on experience in vascular ultrasound.
Come ready to enjoy the most in-depth learning experience on this subject you’ll ever find, and rediscover the satisfaction in learning and mastery.

Our Founder, and your instructor, has a longer continuous experience with high resolution carotid ultrasound imaging than anyone you'll ever meet in a classroom. And you will profit immediately as a result.
Here you’ll learn more than just the 'How' of vascular ultrasound, you will master the ''Why' behind the process. And this is information you will want to master: Certification is now becoming mandatory.
But nearly forty percent of the technologists sitting for the Registered Vascular Technologist certification exam fail it each year... and fail by les than ten points.
One of the greatest reasons is the lack of appropriate training in the clinical mindset underlying the test itself. This course includes both the comprehensive exam protocol AND the underlying clinical basis for it.
Class runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm the each day. Class size is kept small—usually from ten to twelve students—to personalize our time together. We’ll cover all aspects of carotid and vertebral disease as well as every element of the exam protocol, including color Doppler.
Your peers in class will likely be technologists and physicians from varied backgrounds and levels of experience. Upon completion you will be able to begin your independent clinical practice in an active environment.

Cardiology and traditional Primary Care have now expanded to encompass the complete vascular disease spectrum. It does not matter your specialty: this course is open to physicians and technologists from any field.
Whether you are interested in the skills and responsibility of
issuing a formal report or simply focused on what test to order, when and why, this course is dedicated to you. Simply put, you’ll learn the core that makes up both the substance and verbiage of ultrasound tests in the areas of AAA, renal artery disease, and peripheral arterial/venous testing. Not a single word will be spoken in excess, and not a single element of diagnosis will be overlooked. The course has been taught and updated by the same faculty since 1983.
Class runs from 8:30-4pm the first day and from 8:30 to 3pm on day two. Complimentary breakfast is provided daily and a complimentary light lunch is served during courses scheduled during weekdays. This will be one of the most effective uses of your precious time. Class size is small enough (less than a dozen) to permit discussion, lecture is lively and on target, and comprehensive course materials serve as a lifelong resource.
Post conference technical support is provided in perpetuity, as is personal answers to any questions you ever have. This course is presented live throughout the year by identical faculty and can be conducted for your group on site anywhere upon request.
